App Privacy Policy

AdventuVerse – Last updated: April 2026

Protecting your personal data matters to us. Below, we inform you about how AdventuVerse processes data. The controller is SD Nightshift Studio (see Legal Notice for details).

1. Data collection & sign-up

Guest mode

You can use the app without registering. In this case, your progress, statistics, and coins are stored exclusively locally on your device (AsyncStorage). This data is tied to your device and is lost if the app is uninstalled or the app cache is cleared.

Registration & cloud services (Supabase)

To synchronize game progress across devices and permanently back up your progress, we use the backend service Supabase. When you sign in via Google (OAuth), your email address and profile picture link are transmitted to us by Google. Your chosen username is also stored on encrypted servers. For security and abuse prevention (e.g. protection against DDoS attacks), our servers briefly log your IP address.

2. Hardware access & sensors

AdventuVerse uses technical features of your device to enable interactive gameplay mechanics. Our principle here is: all sensor data is processed exclusively locally on your device. This raw data is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Microphone

Used for puzzles (e.g. blowing). The app only measures the level (volume); no audio recordings are made, stored, or transmitted.

Motion data (accelerometer)

Detection of tilting, shaking, or turning the device for gameplay actions within the stories.

Light sensor

Used to trigger game events based on ambient brightness (only on supported Android devices).

3. Advertising and payment systems

Google AdMob & consent management

The app uses Google AdMob to display advertising. The first time you start the app, we ask you via a standardized selection dialog (Consent Management Platform - CMP) whether you consent to personalized advertising. You can review your choice at any time in the app settings under "Ad settings" and withdraw it with future effect.

Google uses advertising IDs (IDFA on iOS / AAID on Android) to personalize ads and measure ad performance.

RevenueCat

To manage in-app purchases and subscriptions, we use the service RevenueCat. This processes an anonymous identifier of your store account in order to assign purchased content (e.g. new stories) to your profile. No private payment data (such as credit card numbers) is stored on our servers; processing is handled exclusively by the respective app store.

4. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, and delete your data. You can irrevocably delete your account, along with all associated progress and purchases, at any time directly within the app under "Settings" -> "Delete account".
